"Yes I am" James replied as he stood up

Ana got up as well, sighing a little. She didn't like it at all, but it had to be.

James watched her, then walked her over to the EMTs

Ana still wasn't sure if those EMTs wouldn't want to take her to the hospital. But on the other hand, she would protest enough. She was fine, apart from a few forming bruises and a cut lip.

James stood a few feet back as the EMTs checked her

Ana let them do that, but when one said she should come to the hospital, just be certain Ana protested. She didn't want to. She looked at James for help, as he promised her she didn't have to go to a hospital.

James saw it in her eyes, then looked at the EMTs and smoothed it over with them

Ana was then left alone, but with the advice to see a doctor later, just to make sure she really was okay.
Ana looked up at James, being somewhat thankful.

James looked back and saw the somewhat thankful look in Ana's eyes, all he did was nod to her

"Can get this over with, please?" she asked, as she was left alone by the EMTs.

James nodded again, "You can go now" he said to her

Ana frowned and raised her brow. "Thought you needed to take me to the station?"

James watched her, "Yes I do" he replied, "Lets go"

Ana sighed and followed James. What choice did she have?

James soon got Ana back to the station

Ana stayed quiet most of the time, having nothing to say.

James walked her into one of the rooms in order to get her statement

Ana sighed a little, looking at James. She knew what was coming next.

James closed the door, then motioned for her to sit down

Ana sat down, crossing her arms in front of her chest and looked at James.

James sat across from her at the same time

"What can I possibly tell you, what I haven't told that officer already?" she asked, starting to get a little annoyed by all this.

James noticed it, "Something you may have forgotten the first time." he replied

"I didn't forget anything. I just wasn't watching where I was goin' and he was probably high, thinking I wanted to hurt him, or whatever." she said a little bit snappy.

James watched her, "You know Ana, that additude may keep you alive on the streets, but one of these days, you will mouth off the wrong person and trust me, you will end up in either the hospital for a few weeks or on one of the tables here in the morgue." he said to her just as hard, he was starting to have enough of her additude
