Bio:
Born in England as the only child of a successful businessman and a private doctor, Lara was raised in a large house by her doting parents until she was tragically orphaned at the age of 8. Lara was then bounced around the care system until she was fostered and then adopted by a very supportive and loving family at 14.

In her younger years Lara’s full facial features looked a little...odd, this coupled with her time in the care system made her a prime target for bullies, this has damaged her self-confidence and to this day she has no idea what a beautiful woman she has become.

After school Lara attended a prestigious college where she took classes in biology, chemistry, archaeology and journalism.

After college Lara became a successful archaeologist but later joined the army in effort to do her bit. She excelled in marksmanship and now ranks in the worlds top 10 list. After her time in the service Lara returned home with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after falling into enemy hands, but this has never been diagnosed.

Lara moved to Las Vegas, USA where she became a police officer, she subsequently transferred to Miami where she now lives and works. Lara is very forensically minded when she secures a crime scene and she has almost completed the appropriate night classes to become a CSI.

Due to her life experiences and PTSD Lara is a little guarded and withdrawn, but if anyone takes the time and effort to get past the walls, they will find Lara to be the most loyal and dependable friend.

Well, I can welcome you to the site and say from experience that yeah, your character's biography is how the admins here start you off. So, welcome on board, and I'm sure one of the administrators will be around sometime to set you up! And I'd be happy to help with any questions I can, I may be still one of the newer members, but I may still be able to help!

Welcome to our little world here I hope we'll get along just fine and you'll like it here.
We're usually like a little family here, but lately RL has us kinda busy, so I'm sorry that you had to wait so long to be accepted.

But like Mac here already said, your introduction is right where it's supposed to be and we welcome all our member through here

For the time being you'll be added to the Rookie group for at least two weeks just to see about your skills to rp and follow my rules. No offence meant with that, but past experience made me very careful with new members.

Anyways, if you're active and start some topic (but please not only with me, in fact rather with other members) and I'm satisfied with what I see, I might add you to the proper group sooner

And now off you go to rp I'll set up an apartment for Lara

I look forward to RPing here, however I have limited internet access so I may be a little slow to reply sometimes, and I like to keep my story lines mild so if anyone wants to RP with me please keep that in mind .

About that avatar... there's actually no need to request one, since I've put the max. Avatar size into my forum settings, it'll automatically resize the picture when you upload it so no need to worry about it as of now

Umm, silly question but... How do I go about staring threads with people on this site? Do I just start one and hope someone joins in? Do I just jump in someone else’s thread? Or do I have to somehow arrange starting a thread with someone before we start it?

well, basically you can just go and start a thread, tag it [anyone] and hope someone logs on and joins, or you just join a topic that's already tagged [anyone] and just get to know other roleplayer.
But if you want, you could see if there are any plot posts that interest you and arrange a topic with somebody else, via that topic or PM, it's actually totally up to you.

Just do me a favor and (if possible) don't only tag me, okay

I'll work on something if you'd like, Lara! I'm up for it.

Signatures in the Rookie group don't show up because of the settings. Meaning Rookies can't have signatures. Once you're added to another group it will show up.

I've added you to the police group now. I like your rp-work btw very nice.
Let me know when you want Lara to be added to CSIs.
