"You may not be intimidated by me Carlos, but the man that is in charge of the place you will be going to eats men like you alive." James said to him, Carlos tried not to show it, but that comment had gotten under his skin

"Still don't scare me. What ya want, detective? I don't wanna waist my time." he said, though he wasn't sure what that detective had against him.

James shook his head and walked out

Carlos watched him. "Can I go now?" he called after him.

Meanwhile Ana was getting a little bored.

James looked at him, "Your under arrest, your not going anywhere." he replied

"Yes, sir." he said with a mock salute.

James ignored that, then walked back to his office

Ana was sitting on a chair now, texting with her friend Kiki. She got bored being stuck in this office.

James soon walked up and gently knocked on the door

Ana looked up and put her phone away. "Can I go now?" she asked.

James watched her, "Yes you can" he replied

Ana nodded a little getting up from the chair.
"What happens to Carlos? You lock him up?"

"We did" James replied, "He won't be bugging you for a while." he added

"I don't mind him bugging me. I do mind him robbing elderlies. And I do mind him pushing me around." Ana replied. "But I can take care of myself."

James nodded a bit, "Well were he is going they will rip his arms off for pushing people around." he said matter of factlly

"Won't scare him. That hijo de puta doesn't care a bit." Ana replied, then shrugged. "But what do I care."

James nodded a bit, "You never know" he replied

Ana looked at James and sighed a little. "Well... guess I owe you a thanks."

"You're welcome" James replied

Ana nodded, looking away for a moment, then back at James. "You know... I wasn't always a street girl like I am now. But I don't hate who I am now, either."

James watched her, seeing a different side to Ana, "What happened?" he asked gently

"What happened? That's a ood question..." Ana said, pondering that. "Met the wrong friends and followed in my big brother's footsteps. Fernando, not Filipe."

James nodded in reply as he listened, "You still have time to change back."

Ana looked at him, almost seeming upset about him saying that.
"I don't hate who I am, but I can't stand people trying to change me." she said seriously. "People like you, you had everything in their lives and who still get everything. People who think they're happy with who they are and how they live. People who always been the same, never tried anything different."

James watched Ana as she said that, "Forgive me for trying to change you." he said to her, "But if you think for one second that I was given everything hand over fist, your wrong." he added in the same tone
